PINBALL

Absolutely!
Pinball machines continue to be crafted,
captivating enthusiasts around the world.
Who doesn't enjoy a lively game of pinball?

As the lyrics say, "Ever since I was a young boy, I played the silver ball."
This passion led me to begin creating animations for Jersey Jack Pinball's inaugural game in 2011. Over the years, I have participated in numerous pinball-related projects.
Here’s a glimpse into the games I've contributed to.

Harry Potter

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2024-2025
MY ROLE: ART-DIRECTOR & LCD-ARTIST

The most anticipated pinball title in over a decade! I'm proud to have had the opportunity to art-direct and animate alongside four incredibly talented Dutch creatives, working together to bring the visuals of this project to life.

I had the pleasure of collaborating with Jesper Abels on the artwork for all the playfields, as well as the 'Heroes & Villains' art package. Our team included Olaf Gremie (UI lead animator), Johnny Wiegel (animation), and Lars Scholten (3D modeling and sculpts).

It has been an honor to collaborate with London-based Studio MinaLima on the Collector's Edition art package.

Avatar - The Battle for Pandora

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2023-2024
MY ROLE: ART-DIRECTOR & LCD-ARTIST

I spearheaded the animation for both the main screen and the holographic display on the Collector's Edition topper. My approach to the User Interface embraced an organic aesthetic, featuring non-symmetrical designs that harmonize with the natural beauty of Pandora. By utilizing full-screen movie assets, I aimed to highlight the breathtaking scenes from the first two films.

Additionally, I art-directed the inaugural pinball art package, crafted by Lea Faske. This package truly embodies a "world under glass," illuminated in three vibrant UV colors to evoke the enchanting bioluminescent landscape of Pandora.

Elton John

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2022-2023
MY ROLE: ART-DIRECTOR & LCD-ARTIST

I had the privilege of creating the art package for the Collector's Edition in collaboration with John Youssi. The stunning 3D animations were crafted by Olaf Gremie, who served as the lead animator on this inaugural Jersey Jack Pinball game, designed by the legendary Steve Ritchie.

The playfield art and the Platinum Edition art package were expertly designed by Christopher Franchi, adding an extra layer of visual richness to the project.

The Godfather

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2021-2023
MY ROLE: ART-DIRECTOR & LCD-ARTIST

This project stands out as one of the most challenging pinball themes I’ve had the opportunity to work on. The art and animations draw significant inspiration from New York City's captivating art deco style, characterized by its distinctive shapes and vibrant colors. To enrich this aesthetic, I incorporated stained glass elements, serving as a homage to the iconic church scene from one of the most epic films ever created.

TOY STORY 4

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2020-2022
MY ROLE: LCD-ARTIST

This was the first pinball machine to feature a Disney/Pixar license, marking a significant milestone in the industry. Collaborating with the talented teams at Disney and Pixar was truly an incredible experience. I have always held a deep admiration for the Toy Story films. In fact, when Pixar launched its first fully animated masterpiece, I had just embarked on my own initial 3D project at the Design Academy.

GUNS N' ROSES

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2019-2020
MY ROLE: ART DIRECTOR & LCD-ARTIST

In my capacity as Art Director and Motion Graphics Designer, this project stands out as the coolest and most creative endeavor I’ve tackled to date. I had the opportunity to direct four talented artists from around the globe—Dayne Henry Jr., Arian Buhler, Mark Molitor, and Jesper Abels—to develop three distinct yet cohesive art packages.

Collaborating with the legendary Slash was an unforgettable experience, adding an unparalleled depth to the project.

WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2018-2019
MY ROLE: LCD-ARTIST

Based on the 1971 American musical fantasy family film, featuring the incomparable Gene Wilder in the iconic role of Willy Wonka.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2017 - 2018
MY ROLE: LCD-ARTIST

This is my fourth game with Jersey Jack Pinball and my first project featuring a Disney license. I’ve had the chance to rediscover my drawing skills by creating an animated treasure map that serves as your guide to the exciting 'movie multiballs.'

DIALED IN!

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2016 - 2017
MY ROLE: LCD-ARTIST

Custom-themed games demand an extensive array of uniquely created graphics.
Dialed In! features three LCD screens that required thoughtful content. I designed the entire 3D city, crafted the user interface layer for the broadcast news channel, and developed animations for the holographic display, along with the graphics for the phone display.

...Crazy!...

THE HOBBIT

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2014 - 2015
MY ROLE: ARTIST & LCD-ARTIST

I developed the complete art package — including the backglass, playfield, plastics, and decals — as well as all animations for both LCD screens for this second game from Jersey Jack Pinball.

THE BIG LEBOWSKI

CLIENT: DUTCH PINBALL
YEAR: 2014 - 2015
MY ROLE: ART-DIRECTOR & DOT-MATRIX-ARTIST

Dude!
I designed the backglass and cabinet art for this cult classic-themed pinball game. Additionally, I created numerous animations for the vibrant colored dot-matrix screen. In a unique twist, there's an actual bowling alley beneath the playfield, and of course, it includes a rug.

THE WIZARD OF OZ

CLIENT: JERSEY JACK PINBALL
YEAR: 2011 - 2013
MY ROLE: LCD-ARTIST

As Jersey Jack Pinball's inaugural game, this project marked the introduction of the LCD screen in pinball, positioning me as the first LCD artist in the industry. I designed the user interface and animations in the vibrant 1940s style, paying homage to this iconic American classic film.
